Acres of Hope is a spiritually-based renewal center serving homeless women with children by providing them with a home and an environment of structured programming. Acres of Hope’s unique approach allows residents to live onsite for up to two years while staff and volunteers provide encouragement, practical life-skills training, job skills, mentoring and spiritual direction.

WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR A PART TIME FAMILY SERVICES SPECIALIST

The Family Services Specialist will provide supervision and oversight of the campus and services provided to our residents (women and children) thru counsel, coaching, mentoring and role modeling. The Family Services Specialist will assist residents to understand and follow Acres of Hope’s policies and guidelines, provide child care and parenting assistance, and ensure the safety and security of the campus.

Position is up to 24hrs per week. This position is primarily weekends and evenings. Successful candidates must be able to work well as a solo staff in a residential care environment.

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified such as: recovery programs, social services for women and children, ministry or similar opportunities to gain skills in relating to and working with at-risk and populations that have experienced trauma. Basic computer skills (internet, email, word processing) also required.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $15.00 /hour

PLACER FAMILY HOUSING BENEFITS

Qualified positions receive paid sick leave, paid vacation leave and a paid dental insurance plan. Qualification is based on the number of regularly scheduled hours per week for each position. For some benefits, 32 hours per week is considered full time. Placer Family Housing does not offer a medical health insurance plan.
